Lets celebrate these holidays in their sequential order and not necessarily their order of importance. firstly, Flag Day. Ive recently become a bit more patriotic... okay... a lot more and Ive been wanting a flag on the front of our house since the day we moved in, but W had some complex about drilling into the brick. Then, over Memorial Day, my Father-in-Law came to visit, and, without reserve, drilled right on in there and we ended up with our beautiful American flag! (Which will of COURSE be swapped out to a University of Alabama Flag once football season arrives, but returned in Janaury to its rightful location.) So, heres a few before and one after shot for you to compare.

Okay, so maybe not a DRAMATIC difference, but I feel a little more American with that star-spangled banner waving. Its still a work in progress. If you had seen what we moved into, youd realize this has seriously improved.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to the best dad around! He's the world's best chef, financial planner, inmate food seller, pug-lover, home-fixer-upper, Italian dad there is and I admire all the he does for our family! He gives the best work advice and help drag my rear out of bed on vacations for long runs... even in the rain on Thanksgiving morning. I love my dad!
